200 and still batting!

24th February,2010 will remain a red lettered day in the cricketing history.Being a cricket lover i could not have asked for anything more.Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar on this very day went on to become the first player in the cricketing history to score a double century in one day internationals.
Well what an innings it was! The typical innings you can expect from the master himself everytime he goes on to bat flooded with beautiful strokes. But this was a shade different.Stamina wise I will say this is indeed Tendulkar's best innings considering the fact that he is already nearing 40!
Fatigue, cramp, heat nothing could deter the little genius. He was composed all the time and this time around there was no stopping him from reaching the magical 200! The record for the highest run in the one day cricket held previously by Saeed Anwar and Jim Coventry also got broken.
In the end,i can proudly beat my chest and say that i saw each and every shot coming out of the Master Blaster's bat.Food, sleep, studies mattered less to me at that point of time.Once again, like so many times Sachin proved that 'He Is Still The Best In The Business!'

Caught Doing Good!

We all have been caught doing the wrong stuff at least once in our life.Sometimes its blatant and we fall under the category of BUSTED.We also tend to do the wrong things by hiding our own identity. For example-bitching about others behind their back and acting very sweetly in front of them.
I always believe that kids in school should be given the opposite of detention(chocolates!)for helping their friends or doing something good. But how would it be if we were caught speaking well about others or doing the right stuff?
Something similar happened to me the other day.My room is always in a mess and my room mate complains all the time about the state of the room.As usual i never listen to him.Yesterday i was expecting someone(eventually that person did not turn up!) So i thought of cleaning up the mess for the first time and i got my room super cleaned in few minutes. But as all these were happening i did not realize that my room mate was standing next to me.He had a look in his face"that for the first time you have done something useful."
Well i am not boasting or bragging as it mostly happens that i get caught for doing the wrong stuffs. But believe me after that incident i want myself to get BUSTED for doing the right stuff more often!

The Unending Battle For Peace

Pune still suffers,as i am writing on the 16th of February,2009,even though the situation of the city has improved and normalcy has been restored.Fortunately and luckily none of my friends or loved ones have been injured. But still there has been 9 who are reported dead out of which 5 were foreign nationals and approximately 40 people have been injured including the waiters and the ones who used to work in the `German Bakery.
What saddens me the most is that there are a few who wants to taint our country's reputation in the global forum. But as we have seen or read in the past that hatred and treachery has always given way to love and peace. So no matter however they try they cannot break our spirit. In other words,if we go on opening our hearts to the best our nation and culture teaches us,the people who did this violence can never win.
